Rosewood, the Ultimate Carver's Wood

What is difficult to carve, is harder on chisels, and takes three times as much work to complete carving with than rain tree wood... haven't guessed the answer yet? Its Rosewood! Black rosewood to be exact, a multi-toned hard wood that has five times as vibrant colorations in its wood grain. When our wood dragon pieces are hand carved from the rich dark colors of rosewood the results are exquisite, and beautiful! We can upgrade your dragon carving to rosewood which will make it a stunting work of art!

All of our dragon wood carvings are intricately and delicately hand carved from beautiful rain tree wood (Samanea saman) also know as suar wood and the hard wood known as black rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia), aka Indian rosewood. On some of our smaller carved dragon pieces you can upgrade your dragon carving to rosewood*.  Having a wood dragon art pieces carved out of rosewood   has beautiful grains. Rosewood is a hardwood and is very stable, durable and similar to ebony in its density. To upgrade your custom dragon carving from Suar wood to rosewood just let our office know and we will make the change. It will cost 30% more to have a dragon piece made out of rosewood and worth every cent!

Our carved dragon art pieces are meticulously and intricately carved out of one single piece of wood! Each wooden art piece boasts extraordinarily detailed dragons. No power tools were used in the creation of our fine art dragons, only chisels and a mallet transforming a simple block of rosewood into a exquisite, beautiful work of art!
