There are two reasons to put things in a box: to keep them organized, and to get them out of line of sight. When the latter case is a factor, you must then stuff the box out of the way, quite possibly forgetting about it and its contents entirely, or you're stuck looking at whatever shoebox, recycled jar, or Tupperware container you pressed into service. Or you could just place your scattered bits of miscellany in a container that is pleasing to look at and be done with the entire equation. Take for example our dragon jar, a gleaming pot-like container of black resin resting on three draconic legs, draconic heads jutting out in each of the cardinal directions, an infant dragon resting complacently on top. Less elaborate but equally attractive options include a smaller dragon box covered with a twisting pattern of vines, coming in two varieties: a flat-bottomed oval or a coffin shape resting on four dragon faces. Also available is a round box with a detailed series of designs held aloft in a dragon's claw. Finally, there is a casket-shaped box carved to resemble brickwork, decorated with gargoyles. Fantasy role players, these are also great places to keep your dice collection. |
