Appearing like a stone vial that could contain anything from an ancient herbal potion to a mummy’s phylactery, this candleholder is covered with myriad Celtic knots. Columns of delicate design decorate the sides of the cylindrical piece, with an intricate braid looping around and running down to the base. Even the bottom is artistically carved with a brick-like scheme and more tiny knots. The top of the piece remains clear, suggestive of a stony texture. A spiraling candle extends out from an opening.
